Hi there. Thanks for stopping by.
I usually don’t have a problem turning away from buy-out beer, but this little stack gave me pause in Whole Foods yesterday.
It’s Bells, man. This was a coveted brewery back in the day. Indie. Regionally rad.
The iconic Two Hearted with the ugly-ass fish label even:
I only had their beer because of listeners sending it to us at the Perfect Pour.
Then, they got bought by Kirin, officially moving them off my ‘good indie beer to drink’ list.
Then I see that awesome looking variety pack with the experimental IPA, and I am tempted.
Do I need to be this way still? Craft Beer/Indie Beer support only?
I kinda don’t know anymore.
I ended up not getting it, instead choosing the all Indie and Sienfeld referencing, Faction Brewing’s “Penske Files”.
I stayed on the Indie Beer Wagon…for now.
Quick Question
As you may have noticed, I didn’t post the newsletter until Sunday morning, again, and was wondering if it mattered to you.
Okay, I want to thank you for the read. Have a great week with your beers and we’ll talk soon.

Peace ✌️ Beer 🍻 & Metal 🤘
I also would have purchased the Bells pack. Such a great price. I am over the buying only “indie”. All of the people working for the “non-indie” companies need jobs too. I just buy what I like. If you think about it, most people work for companies that were once independently owned. But over time the independent company was purchased and/ or absorbed by larger companies. Markets, electronics companies, banks etc. Most are no longer the independently owned but are part of a larger group.
Homie, I would totally buy the Bells pack, just not from that stack ( we on a budget) ... looks like a hot table in the background, that will ruin any beer with the heat oozing from it!
