The Closing Of A Dream
We were very bummed to report the closing of Fresno’s Zack’s Brewing on Friday’s Perfect Pour.
The Zack’s have brewed amazing beer, been great people and were the catalyst for starting a whole damn district. But COVID and the expense of refurbishing an old building so that it could be a cool-ass brewery, was too much.
I’m sure every city has a story like this one, especially during this era. But that doesn’t make it hurt any less.
I know there are more chapters for the book of Zack’s. I hope to see them again, taking on a different shape. But for today, Fresno is less cool.

Drinking Movie Reco
There is only a little bit of beer involved and it’s an all subtitle afair, but I did like “Another Round”.
At times it gets dark and reminds you what can happen when you forget yourself and drink too much. But it’s an interesting premise and it’s something I keep thinking about “How long can you sustain a functioning buzz? Is there a way to get better at it?”
And fellow Star Wars fans will enjoy watching Mads Mikkelsen (aka Jyn Erso’s daddy in Rogue One) booze it up.
