Opening D&T with an appreciation of Half Acre Brewing’s (Chicago) entrance vibe.
The brick building. The mural. The overhang. The cubed window glass things (Sorry, brah, I don’t know what that style is called). It’s nice.
Steamy Beer Twitter Event Of The Week
Every corner of Beer Twitter was talking about the brand refresh for Anchor this week. (And some of us realized that it’s actually Anchor Brewing and not Anchor Steam).
As a fan of pre-buyout Anchor, I’m not fond of the new look. But if I was new to Anchor, I would like the refresh.
So, I guess, mission accomplished for Anchor.
I just hope they keep their Christmas Ale label the same.
Another refresh of a historic beer label happened recently too, with less problems
Can Message OTW
Props to Ontario Canada’s Third Moon Brewing for the deep Arrested Development reference.

Better The Third Time around?
As promised in a previous issue, I wanted to try the MT & Karl Strauss colab a third time to make SURE it was as disappointing as my first two tries.
The verdict? It was better on the third attempt.
I think my issue before was I was expecting a certain profile from a Mosaic heavy beer. This Mosaic Oasis doesn’t come across like any Mosaic before and it threw me off.
Now that I’ve changed my mindset and just drank it like any other beer, I can appreciate it simply as a good beer. Probably the last time I’ll be having it though.
Sucker For This Stuff
The picture is from a post from @beer4john and dammit doesn’t that look gorgeous!? It’s Stalybridge Station Buffet Bar (Est 1885) in Stalybridge just outside Manchester, UK.
Add it to my list of places to see.
Pliny The Nothing
I did not even come close to getting one. I had a friend that got into the que at 11:00 and it looked like he was going to get it. Then it told him it was sold-out when he went to pay.
To be expected, I mean it’s freaking Younger AND the Internet.
Music To Drink With: Weezer “Ok Human”
A new Weezer album dropped yesterday. Indie Mix Tape has the perfect description of Weezer:
Everyone’s favorite “we love them but also hate them because they’re great though we can’t tell if they’re actually good” band is back!
I like the first single “All My Favorite Songs Are Slow And Sad”, it’s catchy as hell and comes with a nice video:
Keep Up The Safeness!
California released their lockdown this week and beer gardens are open again. So, [dad voice] you kids be careful out there.
Thanks for the read and all the sharing of Drinking & Thinking! Cheers!🍻🤘✌️

Dislike the Anchor Steam label refresh, haven’t had Mosaic Oasis 🤷🏽♂️, love Weezer.... the songs seem very short, maybe that a reason why people don’t take them so serious ? I think of Weezer like I do about SugatRay... great music to vibe to and blast around others, but forget about them right after the song is over! Thank homie, now I’m ganna blast some SugarRay !!! Cheers
