Most of us are locked down and can’t hangout in a brewery for the next few weeks. It’s no biggie for me as it’s been all grocery store (with one exception), delivery and pick-up at breweries for me anyway.
I posted about five beers I’ve had recently that I would recommend you try, all purchased through lockdown friendly means. Most notably this Hop Concept beer:
With that can you would think it has spruce-tips or winter inspired spices, but it’s a pretty straight WCIPA, which was fine by me.
Speaking of grocery stores, I had a real nice pickup from a neighborhood market:
Most notably the Kern River “Citra”. The DIPA legend in a can for the first time. Stoked to try.
Beer Twitter Thread of the Week!
Well balanced poll. I chose Allagash White. I understand people (especially those back East) gush and gush about Allagash White. Especially this year. It’s become some sort of beer hipster thing to fall all over yourself about it.
Me, I have a huge problem with Belgium style beers. Something to do with the yeast, me thinks. They’re awful. Fucking awful. So dropping Allagash White was super easy.
Half Pour Indeed
Hey, sorry about this little baby pour of a Drinking & Thinking. My day job has kept me too busy this past week & weekend and I haven’t had a chance to write much. I hope to make up for it Saturday with a generous newsletter pour.
Thanks for reading! Keep safe!

I completely agree with you on the Belgium style beers. Occasionally a sip or two is about it. remember when [well at least stone] tried making a Belgium Style IPA YUCK!!! I mean, yeah, I'm a hop head, but an old fashioned STout or Porter, I'm ok with those... it must be the yeast.. thanks for writing!
