Yes, It’s Celebration Time

and the future of Craft Beer might be rad

Forget about handing out Twix and Milky Ways on Halloween, you better be handing out Celebration cans if you want to be considered the cool house.

Let the Celebration drinking begin!

From now until January 2nd (that is my made-up date for the end), it’s all about that Celebration Ale.

Will it be the same as in previous years? I am thinking yes. But we all will say “Oh this is totally hoppier than last year’s batch, bro!” and think we are correct.

This makes me mad at myself for not keeping one from last year. Not that a year-old beer would be an apples-to-apples comparison to something released on Friday, but still (verticals are cool).

Wait. Are bombers really coming back?

This Toppling Goliath release photo focused on the new TIPA version of their Sue beers, Seismic Sue, but I find it more interesting that it is in a bomber bottle. Is that whole ‘can shortage’ thing finally showing itself or is this just something to look interesting on Instagram? Keeping an eye out.

With Czech dark lagers having a bit of a craft moment these days, are other Central European dark lagers waiting in the wings?

Is this really going to become a thing? I have no problems with it and in fact, think it is cool, but where will I find these Czeck Dark Lagers? (CDLs for us rad people) Get lucky with a local brewery making one would probably be the best bet - I would rather not have to go into Total Wine or Bevmo if I can help it.

We have a new brewer that started a couple weeks ago. 22 years old fresh out of college and man is it refreshing feeding off his energy. The dude is genuinely excited to be here and is ultra fresh into beer.

This is the moment I feel shows Craft Beer’s fall has flattened out and we start building back to what should be the normal level of popularity - I am not really illustrating my point well here… [gathers thoughts] we have found our beer bottom and now another generation is coming to keep things rad.

We will never get to 2013ish levels again (which is good), but everything is going to be okay.

Cheers to a possible chill but lively future for Craft Beer.

Alright, I am going to head out. If you are like me, you will be enjoying the bloody hell out of the season finale of House Of The Dragon on Sunday - it should be epic. But I will also be so sad to see it gone for a while.
