I was in Whole Foods yesterday and I didn’t want to spend any money on beer. Actually, I should say that I couldn’t really spend money on beer; I love buy beer and always want to.
So I compromised kinda and decided to get the cheapest beer I still wanted to drink. I almost got a Montucky 6-pack, but those beers are kinda boring.
I settled on a bottle of Pliny The Elder.
What is this? One of the highest regarded Craft Beers of all time is a budget beer? Today it was.
You see, the Whole Foods in Fresno doesn’t have singles, really. But a tallboy is the most budget-friendly beer to get in a grocery store, usually. Luckily, Russian River beers come in a 1 pint,1.25oz size bottle and are basically a ‘tall boy’.
So, Pliny is a budget beer now! Go tell all your little beer friends!
Hike & Drink: Dog Lake - Tuolumne Meadows Yosemite
I finally got around to exploring the Tuolumne Meadows area of Yosemite. This is a short hike up to Dog Lake. Then a visit to Lembert Dome on the way down.
As seen in the video, I enjoyed a nice IPA from Tioga Sequoia as a reward for getting up to Dog Lake. It was about an hour hike up and the can stayed cold because I kept it in my favorite Brumate can cooler (affiliate link).
I guess that’s all I had to say today. Hope you have a good week with your beers. Thank you for being here.
