Hello there. I am here and still drinking and way way overthinking.

Fourth of July weekend is one of the big light beer holidays. It’s an all-day drinking event that many dads and/or husbands have to still stay sober enough to be able light fireworks off.

To get in the mood, I ordered a couple of light lagers at Out Of The Barrel the other evening. I didn’t really want to, but they were near 4% and that is what I was after - keeping my wits about me while still enjoying a beer.

It’s harder to find low ABV Ales than it is Lagers, which sucks for me. But I will manage.

That brings me to this, something I like to call: slow roasting a beer. This is one of the new things I am learning as a single dude sitting at the bar. A guy with nowhere to be and not enough money to keep drinking whatever I want. I have to become better at milking a beer. You get to stay longer without spending more money. It’s camping at the bar.

My Favorite Beer This Week

I seriously couldn’t figure out who Altamont collaborated with, but then Untappd tells me that it was with Original Pattern Brewing. That’s a pretty damn good pairing.

What a crappy thing to see, yeah? I mean, is that worse than knowing your town would never get that beer anyway? I don’t know. I just know it sucks to miss out on such an exqusite IPA. Maybe it will show up again.
