There is a 65 brewery thru-hike trail in Denver and I want one
Sorry, I am just seeing this now but legendary hiker, Liz “Snorkel” Thomas, did an eight-day “brew thru-hike” in Denver once. Urban Hiking to all 65 Denver breweries in a little over a week.
This may have happened a bit ago but it doesn’t take away from how rad it is.
Snorkel (Liz’s trail name) has done them in other cities too, like Grand Rapids, Ventura, and in Oregon someplace (likely Portland).
I found this out because I was thinking of doing this in my city of Fresno,(totally thought I had an original idea for a few minutes), started poking around then saw what Snorkel has done.
Although I was thinking of doing them one at a time. Now this gives me the confidence to make a whole day of it (if I can get a brewery to open up early enough that is). Make a brew-thru hike in Fresno!
I’ll let you know if I get the yeast up enough to do it someday.
If you ever do hikes to your local taproom, I’d like to hear about it.
On a bummer note, I didn’t have any beer worth drinking around the house today. Knowing you’ll be reading this is my best connection to having a beer so I thank you for being there for it.
