The King of Beer Festivals
Hi. š
Are you at the Firestone Walker Invitational, literally happening as this is posted? No? Thatās cool.
It may be the most coveted festival in the country to attend. Reasons being:
Itās not overwhelming big. Just the right number of booths pouring.
Not super crowded. With the exception of some highly coveted brewery pours, very manageable lines.
Elite breweries. A well curated list of breweries with only a couple of āprobably friends of Firestoneā ones thrown in.
The actual brewers (even the celeb status ones) show up to pour their beer - a lot of festivals have volunteers or area reps pouring.
Central California location - a good meetup spot for the big So Cal & Nor Cal brewers.
Here is what it was like last year:
Yes, that was the same Alex Kidd (aka DontDrinkBeer) that is now battling Cancer and there is an update on that.
It is very hard to get tickets. They take about 30 seconds to sell out - people have, like, 10 windows open trying to get in to buy tickets online and still donāt make it through many times.
I am sure this isnāt your first time hearing about this festival, but just wanted to give it a shout out since itās kind of in my area. And I like to pump up things that are not about the money, really, but about making it the best experience - we need more of that in beer and everywhere.
Welp, I really appreciate the read. Have a great week with your festival beers or kitchen table beers - I have a quad IPA that I accidentally bought, looming in my fridge, that I have been afraid to drink. Maybe Iāll open it up today and see what happens.
Check your dates and be safe and Iāll talk to you next week!

I thought about attending a few years back but never did; anymore if a bunch of people want to be somewhere, "I Don't!" So I'll just search out the beers I wanna try and enjoy them with momma in our private beer garden. Thanks for the words!šš¾šŗ šš»š§
Cheers Mikey... enjoy Fwib
