If I ever go to London I will be looking for some of the pubs on this list by A Lady In London: 8 Pubs In London With Beer Gardens.
Some secret, some not, this one at The Stag Pub is big and wonderful:

The post is from 2017 so I don’t know if they are still around. If they are I’m guessing they’re pretty thankful for having outdoor areas to drink, in the age of COVID.
Beer Twitter Thread Of The Week
Oh man. Poor Chase S. on Untappd got called out by @BeerAcademic for “aging” a slush beer.
Mike is being funny but he also may have a point. A point that makes me think…
What is the line of demarcation for a beer that has been sitting around and a beer that is aging? Slush or no slush. Is it simply “I am saving this for later to see what it will be like.” and it doesn’t matter how long you save it, it’s aged? Or does it need to have a good amount of time?
One More Twitter Thread
You would think a website focused on jobs in the beer industry would be a little more open to paying photographers in the industry for their work. 🤷🏻♂️ You’d think.
Polling For Nachos
Replace ‘deep-fried cheese curds’ with nachos, keep the percentages and I’m fine with these results. Are cheese curds regional? It’s rare when I see or hear about cheese curds around here. Curds. CURDS. … not an appetizing word if you ask me. Nachos and fried pickles all day.
I Chose Wisely
Firestone Walker asked for input on their new Union Jack artwork.
Well, A. Duh. It’s a cleaner look. Cleaner is better.
A Refresher Course
I know YOU know these things and I ummm, TOTALLY, know these things because I have good beer-smarts, but you know, it’s good to be reminded.
An article on Chowhound breaks down the difference between Ales and Lagers.
I didn’t actually read the article, I just watched and enjoyed the video with Ben Turkel from Boomtown Brewery, and liked the brief shots of the place. It’s now on my list of L.A. breweries to check out.
Things Are About To Get Ugly, Tiger
San Diego morns the loss of a major beer place:
I managed to go to Tiger! Tiger! A couple of times and was wowed by the food, beer list, and energy of the place. It will be missed.
Sadly I think closings like this are going to start stacking up soon.
Sierra Has Commercials?
I noticed this new commercial by Sierra Nevada this week for Hazy Little Thing:
I guess I should say new to me. I was about to come on here and announce Sierra Nevada is getting into the commercials game, but come to find out, they have been doing them for a while.
