Talls and My Most Meaningful Untappd Badge

Well, it’s finally happened: Tallboys have been normalized for me.

Last night I had one of those Firestone Walker Brain Melters and was quickly wanting more; I’m not supposed too WANT MORE WHEN IT’S A BIG ASS BEER!!

I had been loving the Talls so much because they seemed like they always had more to give. But not anymore.

Guess I need to back off them for a bit.

Memory Badge

At the end of this week’s Perfect Pour podcast I jokingly(?) mentioned I want my most important Untappd badges displayed on my tombstone. Then, in the Facebook post about it, some listeners posted their favorite badge. So I went looking through mine and found the most important to me:

Zack’s Brewing in Fresno was a friend’s brewery. Amazing beer and a great downtown Fresno building that they painstakingly converted to a brewery.

Sadly the Pandemic hit soon after they opened. They didn’t get a chance to make it to the other side and were forced out.

So I found myself wishing I could have built more levels onto my Zack’s badge. 

Shout out to all the breweries that have had to close the past few years. You did your best, it’s all you can do [gives a good hug and pat on back].
