Yep. Time to rage against Molson Coors: your “below-premium” dad beer is going into retirement:
I can’t remember the last time I had a Hamm’s so this won’t hurt me, but I know bum-out some of us. Grab ya can now while it’s still on the shelf and wait for the inevitable return because money.
This is the Hamm’s commercial I remember as a kid:
This one I don’t but watch:
Did you see that? No, not the bear (although the bear was freaking adorable). No I mean the guy putting his pull tab back into the can then drinking it. I guess this was the thing to do to control littering. But too many people were swallowing the tabs so they invited the tabs we have now.
I’m Not That Popular
Nobody took the bait on my Allagash White tweet above. Like these gentleman below, I thought there was going to be a backlash.
Yeah nobody said a damn thing. I think that means Beer Twitter doesn’t care what I think - or maybe most agree and are too afraid to say it? 😅
The reason I even said anything is because I see SO DAMN MANY Beer Twitter posts about Allagash White and how magical it is.
The problem is I can’t stand Belgium yeast. To me, Belgians are what beer tasted like before they discovered GOOD yeast and hops.
Allagash White may be the best example of a Belgian Style Wheat beer, but who cares?! It’s a gross style. Stop trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.
The Links Of Beer
Tree House Brewing packaged and sold the most beer in Massachusetts (besides Boston Beer Co and Shipyard) despite not distributing their beer. They purely sell all that beer from the taproom.
Jeff Alworth argues for a more holistic and homebrewer approach when trying to determine if the beer you’re drinking is “good” or not.
Breweries Are In A Haze Like Me
Can I totally agree with the sentiment but also recognize that I like all these damn IPAs?
It feels dirty and it’s a bummer that styles like Brown and Porter have a faint heartbeat, but I won’t hesitate to knock over a stack of Downtown Browns to try any new hazy or west-coast that comes around.
I am part of the problem but unwilling to change.
Hope All Your Beers Are Refreshing!
Whether you keep it hazy or crack open a Belgian, have a great week! I really appreciate the read and the shares!

Peace✌️ Beer🍺 & Metal🤘
Hey Mikey, my dad used to drink Hamm’s when I was a youngster. It was actually the first beer I tried, hehe!! I doubt if I could even drink it now. Awww memories!! Have a great week!! 🍻
Also, With you on the Belgian yeast yuck. There are some great Belgian ales, but not those with 'that' taste.
