Hi. Welcome to Drinking & Thinking. Glad you’re here!
Finally found some Summerfest - I was beginning to worry. It’s quite clean and excellent, as Lagers go, and I would advise picking up as much as you can.
Speaking of interesting pickups:
Using three different locations in town I was able to gather these Indie Beer icons. I feel like I should do something special. Drink them sounds pretty special.
I am pretty geared up, as I write this on a Saturday morning, to start digging into the Summerfests now and smartly adding the Pliny and Heady and such, throughout the day. Make a grand iconic drinking session out of it. But I can’t.
My daughter is hosting a slumber party tonight, so I have to be on my best soberest behavior, all freaking day - what a waste of a perfectly good Saturday [LOL and all that - I love being a dad].
Damn responsibility always getting in the way of being a true beer-hound.🤣🍻

Breaking news from
that Anchor Brewing/Sapporo will no longer be making their famous Christmas Ale - an iconic seasonal that has been around since 1975.You have to assume that this is a Sapporo (the buyout owners of Anchor) made decision, but how could the Anchor people allow this? Bizarre, and proof that nothing good ever happens when an Indie brewer goes buyout.
Enjoy Your Beer Drinking Windows!
Thanks a lot for the read. Hope you find some nice and responsible beer drinking windows this week, Pliny or no Pliny. We will talk again next Saturday. Cheers!

Peace ✌️ Beer 🍻 & Metal 🤘
I find it hard to believe that Anchor/Sapporo would cancel a beer that is in demand and hard to find during the Christmas season. I will wait till there is an official announcement to get excited.
Great beers from End to End, at least the West coast for sure, not heard of the Vermont Brewery, but besides Ireland and Scotland, [lol] I don't get out much!
Cheers!
