Why I Like It: Drygate Brewing.
Okay, so, I think I’ve established I have never been across the pond, but I do enjoy the vibe UK and European breweries give off.
That’s why I’m stopping to recognize Drygate. Reasons:
They have a beer called “Podcast”.
Their design. From the sign-work, font and the simple wave line logo.
I follow some artists now that I would not have before, due to them featuring artists on their Instagram.
Located in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland. There are a lot of great beer cities in the world, but I bet it would be hard to beat freaking Glasgow.
They have good beer names other than Podcast:
Add Drygate to the list.
And Then The Next Day: EVERYTHING Was Hazy
Hazzies just hit different the morning after. They just do, you how you… nevermind, sorry, I’ll see myself out.
Let’s Go Get Some Pizza Bread In A Kissa Someday
Reading the Snakes & Ladders newsletter, I found out there are coffee shops in Japan called kissas - they remind me more of a home-y little beer bar than a coffee shop.
Most of these kissas are dying out due to Starbucks and the like. That prompted this impressive book and this relaxing video of an owner making pizza bread - a common dish served in kissa:
I know it’s not beer but it VIBES like craft beer AND this newsletter, so that’s why it’s here. There is some beer in there though if you look close enough.
I now want to paint everything dark brown in my house.
I Do Not Miss This: Festivals At The End Of A Day
Awwww, poor Kevin.
Be safe out there. Watch out for mess.
A Quick Quote
A saw Mr. @Beervana (Jeff Alworth) describe a beer as “partly cloudy”, which I love as a way to label a beer that is not clear but also not hazy.
”Do you have any partly cloudy beers?”
Thanks for the read! I really appreciate you sharing and talking about Drinking & Thinking! Have a great week hanging out with your beers! 🤘🍻✌️
