Oh yeah? Fuck you I’m drunk in my driveway and I spilled sOme Lager beer and shit. Who gives a fuck IT’S JUST A LAGER!?

Lagers are great for spilling. Nothing precious about it. You can throw it at things. Pour it over a person’s head. Shake it up and spray it everywhere in celebration. It doesn’t care, it’s just Lager.

Denver Beer A Little Less Cool Today

Sad to have lost my chance to go to Falling Rock. Respect to all the old-school beer bars that are still around or have left.

Sierra Small Batch Co.

I don’t know if this is intentional or it is just sorta happening but Sierra Nevada Brewing has recently been making small batches of its previously well know but not making anymore beers Summer Fest and Ruthless Rye IPA.

They only made enough to sell online and at the taproom. I really like this concept from a big Craft Brewery. You have the tanks, you have the ingredients, why not bring back retired beers to just be sold out of the taproom?

In a separate item (but kinda related as in sending out a little craft brewery vibe), Sierra is distributing in the UK now via The Cascade Club, complete with a seemingly exclusive Pale Bock. Super cool.👏🍺

The Links Of Beer

• An interesting story from the BBC, beer found on shipwrecks providing valuable yeast strains.

• Soft Serve Tech is working its way into beer and I don’t have a problem with it.

• An intriguing blog post question from Boak N Bailey “Are Cult Beers A Thing?” But the way the post reads it’s essentially what we call a Whale Beer or brewery here in the States. I’d be interested in coming up with a cult beer or brewery. One that is easy enough to find or get to but is really only popular with a small but definable group of people. Maybe a future post for MY blog.
