I Tried To Have a Beer In Disneyland

and, I got fooled by a blonde

The Blue Bayou, the most chill restaurant in Disneyland

So I went to Disneyland last weekend. We love Disneyland around here. Yes it’s expensive. Yes a lot of people are there. Still love it. But we have not been for a few years due to budget then Covid.

Our favorite place to eat there is the Blue Bayou (basically inside the Pirates Of The Caribbean ride). We couldn’t get reservations for a long time but at the last minute (I guess someone canceled) we got in.

I was especially excited because Disneyland has loosened its no-alcohol policy a bit and I heard that Blue Bayou just might have beer. Turns out, the rumors are true:

No I am not here to talk about that price. It is slightly wild I know. But it is my first ever beer inside Disneyland, it’s a good Indie IPA, I am willing to pay through Goofy’s nose for the privilege. Except I couldn’t.

Their draft system was not working (CO2 problems maybe?). The waiter said he might be able to get enough out of it for the Abita Amber, but I declined. Maybe next time 😪

Drinking Digest: This Pale Sucks!

I accidentally drank a Blonde. It was a rough. I didn’t like it. But I did it. I’m pretty proud of myself that I finished it. Thanks.

Yeah, the label fooled me. Even though “blonde” is clearly printed. I thought I got a Pale. But first taste and I was like “Oh balls, they messed this beer up bad! What hops are making it taste like?…” It was then I realized I was drinking a Blonde. I do not like them. But I powered through in the name of not wasting a beer. Sometime this week, please “Cheers!” me for my accomplishment.
