I want to put some good beer newsletter content here but nothing is coming to mind.
They say if you can’t think of something to write about, just start writing anything and then things might start coming to you.
…
Nothing yet.
My right arm is super itchy right now. Not sure what that is about.
I had two beers this evening. Both IPAs. One a DIPA.
I started getting tired so I drank some water and diet soda. Now I am ready to start drinking again.
…
Damn. Still nothing.
Well, I am going to get another beer. That can help with my creativity. At least that is what I tell myself. I think it is true though.
Maybe I should ask Google if… wait, lemme go get that beer, I’ll be right back.
[Goes to beer fridge in garage. Gets beer. Notices a car driving slowly by driveway. Watches it drive away - threat ends. Goes back to house]
Oh shit, look at this crazy damn thing I brought back:
Crazy to me anyway. You see, I made a commitment last week to drink more seasonal beers because constantly drinking IPA related beers is getting old. So I bought a Pumpkin Beer.
This Left Hand Pumpkin Spice Nitro Latte hella tastes like a pumpkin pie. It’s okay. Definitely different for me. I’m not sure I’m going to finish it.
I am kinda missing the “Hollow Planet” DIPA by Henhouse Brewing from earlier. I don’t know if I really need a double at this point though.
Oh wait, so I was going to Google “Does drinking beer help creativity?”
Woah. We have some possitive thoughts on this topic. Alcohol enhances creativity you say? Neat. I KNEW IT, MUTHAFUCKAAAAA!
I want to read a post you don’t see in that search screenshot though. A VinePair post titled New Study Says Beer Makes You More Creative.
Boy, talk about finding the narrative I wanted to be true.
The main takeaway from the article
“Alcohol is so linked with creativity,” lead author of the study, Mathias Benedek, said according to The Independent. “Previous research has found almost half of the great writers had a history of drinking. We found that small drink can indeed help with certain aspects of creativity.”
I always felt this. Thanks to the Internet for making it true.
And thanks for reading today. I started this post just as you saw; with no idea what I was going to write about.
Now we know that beer is good for creativity and I can’t finish a decent Pumpkin beer.
Cheers! 🍻

Peace ✌️ Beer 🍻 & Metal 🤘
I also do not like pumpkin beer! I do love IPAs. I'm in Scotland for October, not many IPAs here, but there are a few. Having a hand pumped Cask ale now, pretty mild, but OK
