I Didn’t Mean For This To Be A King Sue Post

We are super deep into lockdowns and what-have-yous. Not a lot of things I can talk about outside of picking up beer.

So I dropped my content research well further down and hit the Craft Beer Subreddit. It’s been a while since I checked there.

The hot thread today is complaining about the /craftbeer sub (a place for discussion of beer) turning into the /beerporn sub (a place for posting your hauls and beers you’re drinking).

All I see now in this sub is just people posting pics of beer with no comment of what they think of it. What happened to rule #1? -LicensedTwoPill

Apparently there are a lot of people posting their Tree House hauls.

It seems the top four breweries to display your haul from are Tree House (MA), Russian River (CA), The Alchemist (VT) and Toppling Goliath (IW).

All these make sense to me except Toppling Goliath. It’s mostly because of their Double IPA, Safety Sue.

I guess I’ve never had this beer. Pseudo Sue I have HAD IT, but not the King.

It feels like I must have because I see it so much on Untappd and Instagram. But my Untappd says nope and I believe it. I have friends that have though and love it:

I have no plans to visit Decorah, Iowa, so I’ll have to hope for a random show up in a bottle shop around here. It is also available on Tavour, I might need to start an account.
