That 70s 80’s printer vibe or whatever it is, I am in love with the graphic design work of Atlanta’s Halfway Crooks Brewing.
If I could get them to do design work for this newsletter, I would.
Marketing Of The Week
Santa Rosa’s Henhouse Brewing with “The Mandela Effect” (that’s one of their cans in the middle ripping apart worlds.
Do you remember Berenstain or STEIN? 😂
Beer Twitter Thread Of The Week
The reaction to this tweet again illustrates, right or wrong, Beer Twitter can get upset at anything:
Slow down everyone, the dude was just saying, don’t show the logo of another brewery in your picture, aka “turn the glass around”.
I try not to show the wrong brewery on the glass, especially on Instagram. Once in a while I’ll mess up on Untappd though.
Long Reads of The Week
The Beervana Blog tells the beer pioneering story of Suzy Denison of New Albion Brewing. Cool story, especially if you’re from the Bay Area or into the history of Craft Beer.
This one has no beer in it but it has a shop. An electronic shop in San Francisco. The same vibe you get from an indie brewery with one owner/brewer that spends 12 hours a day, nearly every day, trying to make a dream a reality and then pokes their head up 30 years later and realizes “Oh I guess I lived it.”
Genius Handle Alert!
Sunday Sunday SUNDAY!
I think readers of D&T do this all the time, but Sunday is a day to focus on it.
The Guilt Of Corona
On my Fresno blog I wrote about my first sit-down at a brewery in nine months. I got a little heat for it, being as we are in a bad place, virus-wise.
Im still not sure it was the right call but I had some nice beers from Zack’s Brewing.
I felt pretty safe sitting outside and when I ordered my beers. The only place I was worried about was the bathroom, being it’s a smaller space to share air in.
I was happy to get out for a day and support A local brewery, but I’ll go back to take-out for the time being.
Thanks For Being Here
Thank you for the read. If you could tell some other cool person about this newsletter, that would be rad.
Be safe and have fun!
