Welcome back. Thanks for opening.
Best Moment With A Beer
An Out Of The Barrel crowd, that is normally a docile watcher of sports on the TVs, erupted in wows and cheers when Tyrese Haliburton hit the game-tying basket in game one of Knicks vs Pacers - it was a neat shared moment for everyone there. Beer and sports: bringing people together since forever.
Beer Of The Week!
That Pizza Port beer pictured above (and video-ed), “Coastin’” IPA. I did a little solo hike of the San Joaquin River Gorge and popped that baby open halfway through.
Bonus: Beer Name Of The Week: “I Make Beer Not Tragedies” a Porter from Around The Horn in Groveland, CA.
Things To Focus On This Week
Getting more 12oz beers so I have them available. I have talked about this in the past, but too many times I open up a 16oz can, have a few sips, and fall asleep - wasting a full beer. Better to waste 12oz instead of a 16.
Look into (encouraging myself) drinking Porters or whatever low ABV I can get my hands on. You know, beers I can milk-a-seat at the bar with. I prefer Pales when it comes to low “alcks”, but they are not always there or I am bored with what is there.
That will do it. Sorry, I missed last weekend and was late with this one. It’s a struggle, but I am slowly clawing to a healthy place. Hope you’re well. Have a nice 12oz for me.

Peace ✌️ Beer 🍻 & Metal 🤘
Coastin…. Great beer, word is it might become a flagship beer for PizzaPort! Has its own UPC and isn’t sharing it like the rest of the releases from PizzaPort!
12oz of fun … “Velvet Glow” by Russian River is always a fun sip, low abv at 4.7%, called a Pale Dry Lager and oh so crushable!
Cheers Mikey
Thank you for the blog. I enjoy Pizza Port beers. The price is not bad, 16oz and usually a high abv. Swami’s are my go to beer. Take care!
