Isn’t that just the prettiest ol’ grain silo ya ever did see? It sure stands out.
I don’t THINK I have ever had a Funkwerks beer but I am sure I like their design work.
I believe its nickname is Cylo Green. Its certainly a color that pops:

Add another to my list of beer places to visit someday. Funkwerks is in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I’m Thinking Of Starting My German Beer Phase

I might finally be ready to enter my German/European style beers stage of beer geek life. I pretty much have no idea where to start.
I just know I want to focus on Kolschs.
Well, a good one to start with looks like Fruh’s. My Untappd friends seem to like it okay and I can get it at my local Total Wine:

Of all the Beer Twitter takes this week on this mistake of a beer, Bracey’s is probably the best one, and it has a good thread:

It’s A Bit Peachy, Isn’t It?
I love it when beer geeks have civilians try craft beer [watch video]:

Extra points to @BeerBeauty (aka @TVmarv) for having them try a hazy. Also, I really wish we could get some Cloudwater on this side of the pond.
A Fosters Free Pub

A recent @totalcirtis post about having a beer in a pub caught my jealous eye.
That is The Marble Arch in Manchester, England. It looks delightful.
Its the flagship pub of Marble Brewing.
I love the board above the bar. And I love their slogan: “Not serving Fosters since 1888.”
I don’t have any particular hate for Fosters, I just think it’s funny.
Take A Bow, Eli
Many thanks for the newsletter read. Thank you for sharing last week’s D&T issue too!
If you’re looking for music to listen to while drinking this week, please check out a couple of my friend’s (drummer Eli Reye’s) bands, The Fay Wrays and Rademacher.
Eli unexpectedly passed away last week.
Fresno’s music community has been rattled by this.
This is not a downer ending. I know Eli would fucking love you listening to his music, so thank you in advance.
Take care of yourself out there and have a great week!
-Mikey
