This week’s design favorite is New York State’s Downed Lands Brewing. I’m vibing hard on the design/label-art, and then I took a look at their place:
Cool and unique. The next time I’m in the Newark or NYC area, I am checking this place out fur sure.

Come on now, Hillsboro Hops, you gotta give it up to the Perfect Pour Friday Night ‘GETIT’ crew. I’m not even sure how they organized this but they all have your hoppy AAA baseball hats!
Even if Hillsboro doesn’t acknowledge this, I for one, think it’s pretty rad.
Every Brewer Is Jealous Of This Dude
An article by punchdrink.com features Private Press Brewing and the brewer’s members only brewery. This members only system may be an emerging trend.
There is no tasting room. No distribution. Just one brewer, releasing 10 beers a year, exclusively to 600 members paying him $300 a year.
Brad Clark, owner, brewer and everything guy, makes his wort at places like Faction Brewing then puts his liquid in barrels in his place outside Santa Cruz, CA.
When the batch is ready he ships it to his California members and has his out-of-town members come pick up their beer or have it muled.
Super interesting, and I gotta think that the pro brewers out there that love making beer but don’t want the hassle of running a brewery or having to make beer the owners want them to make, gotta be looking at this model pretty damn hard.

New stuff from Royal Blood tops my list of music to drink to this weekend.
I also found a whole album of moody day-drinking music from a kinda supergroup band called Muzz. Highlights include “Red Western Sky” and “How Many Days”.
