CAN You Be Any Louder?!

It’s so loud. The opening of a beer can. Loud.

When you’re in a quiet house and you open a beer you have just announced to everyone else what you’re up to. I don’t like that.

That’s why, sometimes, on my 2nd or 3rd beer, I will step outside and open the can. I don’t want everyone knowing my business. Counting my beers. Getting judge.

I judge myself plenty, thank you, opening myself up to the judgment of the house is static I don’t need to bring my way.

I wish I was smart enough to invent a device you could put on top of your can that would open it and you couldn’t hear it. A can silencer.

It’s weird because as much as I might not want everyone to hear me opening a can of beer, it sure is a sweet sound isn’t it?

Beer To Look Out For: Hoptimum

It’s that time of year: Hoptimum! Sierra Nevada’s seasonal TIPA. I have always found the Hoptimum Guy a little off putting, like, he doesn’t belong on a Sierra label… I can’t quite put my finger on it… it’s cool artwork but I also don’t like looking at.

Anyway, a great beer and an excellent value and one most of us can find, so I will be looking for it this week.
