The other day I had three, 16oz IPAs and then rode a Peloton for 20 minutes.
I assume having three big beers then exercising is a bad idea? I have never had a trainer of any sort, but I doubt that’s something they say is cool to do.
But I did it and all was fine, so now you know you can do it too. It wasn’t a record-breaking ride, but it was close to a normal one.
I was just pleased to prove to myself I can still get on the bike after a beer [or three] and accomplish something.
But we do this regularly, yeah? We ride our bike to a bar or taproom then ride home and all is fine - I did this once in Fresno and survived.
I don’t know why I thought being buzzed on a Peloton would be something I couldn’t do.
If you happen to have a Peloton, my handle is TheBlogCycle - I could use some more beer friends on there.
Also, there are articles that suggest beer is a great post-ride thing. The reality is beer is a great post-anything.
Triple IPA Season is Here!
I love that Pliny The Younger Season has kinda created a TIPA Season throughout Craft Beer, in its wake. I had my first Triple of the season last night with the El Segundo Power Plant - it was way too easy to drink and yes it did mess me up a bit and no I did not get on a bike after.
Something To Beer With
My pick this week is the Grammys (Sunday night). It’s the annual reminder that I have very little idea of what is happening in today’s music world.
But I still like to watch because it’s a live event, there are some great performances, and a lot of people are watching at the same time - I miss that about the world.
Plus, I usually discover someone new I end up liking (not that the Grammys are some great place to discover rising talent, not by a long shot).
It’s a good thing to have some beers with, anyway. I just wish rock, metal and blues got more respect during these kinds of things, but then again, I am an becoming an old man.
Okay. I will get out of your hair. Thank you for the read! I hope you have a great week with your beers! Be safe out there!

Peace ✌️ Beer 🍻 & Metal 🤘
Keep it up Mikey, I’m not a Grammys watcher, more of a food traveler/ home fixer/ outdoor fishing hunting/ car repair kinda watcher with my cold beer next to me! Cheers homie
