Looking Out For Beer[s] Of The Week!
I am a fan of Santa Rosa’s other prominent brewer, Henhouse Brewing (I’m having their “Incredible Pale Ale right now) so I am hella looking out for their 10-Year Anniversary colab beer “Today On Ten” they did with Faction, Cellarmaker and Eaglerock Brewing.
There is another one I am looking out for, also a colab with the OTHER prominent Santa Rosa brewer, Russian River, named Stivo:
Hope these magically show up in all our towns.
Eye Opener Of The Week
After seeing that, I saw this at a Chevron by my house:
Big rig trailer art doesn’t lie.
Beer Blog Post OTW
Respect to Beervana for merging two of my favorite things: Craft Beer and Craft…Blogging!
Blogs share something in common with beer. The word “blog” is a lot like “craft” or “micro.” Like early craft brewers, bloggers were micro-media with a chip on their shoulder. Instead of big, commodity beer, they opposed big media. Born in the early years of the new century, they were all small and independent, but over time became more professional and often corporate-owned. Just like craft breweries.
I am forever about micro-media and beer with a chip on its shoulder. 👊
Buyout[s] Of The Week
It HAS been a wild week, especially for Utah beer geeks. There was the Uinta thing and then of course Monster Energy buying up (among others) Wasatch Brewing.
As a beer geek that cares about buying independent beer as much as possible, it becomes hazy on if these breweries are okay to support. You can use the BA’s definition as a guide as I do - a guide, not the end-all.
I like to make it simple and buy local, that’s not too hard unless you live somewhere there isn’t any good breweries. Then, build out the indie support from there, thank the beer gods for Sierra Nevada as an always good *knocks on wood* option - and it just becomes situational from there.

Music To Beer With
This last year I got into Dinosaur Jr. and I feel stupid that I didn’t pay much attention to them when they were out there. So anyway, here is an amazing performance and use of the Letterman/Paul S band, I have seen.
I highly recommend having a DIPA or Imperial Stout before viewing, it’ll get you in the perfect head space for this all cranked up:
I feel like we don’t talk about raw music moments enough and I miss Letterman, so there ya go.
Have A Great Week!
Fingers crossed your favorite brewery doesn’t get bought by Burger King or some other weird thing, this week.
Stay safe and thank you for the read! 🙏
