This week’s beer-buying prompt: Take me to another place. (In case you missed it last week, I have started handing out a prompt to think about while picking a beer at the store or beer garden)
So I saw this one from Altamont Aleworks. “Juice - Above The Clouds” makes me think of plane rides and a tropical spot, which is another place for me, so, mission accomplished. It’s a nice Westcoast, juicy but still clear - the way I like. Excuse me while I imagine my cold rainy patio being a fresh, warm, air-cleansing Kaui shower.
Links To Beer [Younger & Bailey Edition]
Shout out to everyone going to Russian River over the next two weeks for the Pliny The Younger release. I have been to the TIPA Motherland a couple of times for this and it was worth the two (sometimes three or four) hour wait, every time. Details:

Also, a great roundup post from
will give you all kinds of beer reading to catch up on:https://boakandbailey.com/2024/03/news-nuggets-and-longreads-23-march-2024-riding-high/
Not Beer But Useful
Via the
newsletter via Ben Braddock, comes a clever trick to get the meatiest burrito possible:“When I'm at Chipotle, l always wait until after the employee puts the first scoop of chicken on my burrito to ask for double chicken, so the size of the first scoop isn't compromised by the knowledge I'm getting a second scoop and now the employee has shown their hand in terms of their default scoop size, so they can't skimp with my second scoop.”
You know that works too. Burrito mind games.
Okay, it’s been great talking with ya. Use that beer prompt this week and let me know how it works for you. See ya later.

Peace. Beer. Metal.
I may have to try that burrito trick one day
