Hi. It’s nice that you’re here.
Music To Beer With
I did some weird Beer-ing with music this past week, most notably, I listened to Todd Rundgren.
I had never before purposefully put on Todd Rundgren in my life - slightly before my time and a little too mellow for my taste.
But I was in the mood for it. It was not the best day; a lot of working and different things going on.
Add a couple of Sierra Nevada Atomic Torpedoes to that stew, and I surprisingly became a Rundgren guy for a solid hour while staring up at the stars from a pool.
Sometimes you just gotta let those double IPAs do their thing and unwind ya.
That is a pretty wild little setting Todd had going there. I feel like David Lee Roth took a little from Todd.
Anyway, if you’re stressed, find a couple of IPAs, some 70s music, some stars, and maybe you’ll feel better after. It worked for me.
Shit. I wasn’t going to reveal this but I have had enough beers and I am ready to: I also listened to the Eagles, man.
I (and again, I really am not sure why) watched/listened to this “New York Minute” video about 20 times. It felt like something I had to do and I can’t describe it properly.
Dude. Weird shit happens when you’re getting old and you’re going through life and have some beers. Maybe the most under-talked about thing around.
Peace Out… Man.
Hey, I really appreciate the read. I would like to give a shout out to the Sierra Nevada “Atomic Torpedo” six-pack that help me get through this week.
Hope you get a chance to vibe-out with some good beer and music in your back yard or porch this week. Be safe.

✌️Peace 🍻Beer & 🤘Metal
P.S. For some reason I am especially proud of this week’s Perfect Pour podcast. We have too much fun. We talk over each other, try to out-funny the other hosts, drink too many beers for a work night, develop all kinds of beer geek ideas and foolishness. I am an idiot and super biased but, I genuinely believe it’s the most entertaining beer podcast around, please check it out if you haven’t already:
Oh yeah, I can tell you a thing or two about 70s music!
Depending on the mood; one of my faves is Marshall Tucker Band. Some good IPAs, MTB and I'm good. Take me home country mama! 🍻🔧
