Hi. Thanks for opening. [sound of can opening *cachaaa*]
Beer I am looking out for most this week’s is Burgeon’s “Tidal Change” IPA. I love the name and the label art and Burgeon always makes an excellent IPA. It is unlikely to turn up in town but I will be looking out for it all the same.

Em Sauter (Pints and Panels) did a nice article for Forbes (of all places) touting Five Excellent Lagers Perfect for Summer.
A good one from Kate Bernot for the Washington Post on how we still love to have Juiced up things to drink - even the wine industry is juicy now.
There is a Slate article out there talking about beer being in decline. Maybe, but not THAT much in decline, if you ask me. I have never thought people drinking hard Seltzers and cans of mix drinks were ever going to be permanent beer geeky people anyway. You drink weird shit in your 20s (I sometimes had a Zima or a Smirnoff Ice) and that will always be the case.
As usual, by Boak & Bailey, a good roundup of beer related reads from across the pond. Including one about Bass that got quite a bit of attention. (I will forever respect Bass as, for many years, it was the only decent beer option in a restaurant I would regularly go to, cementing it as a Hall Of Fame beer for me)
Have you run into a Premium Lager lately? Doug Veliky would like to hear about it.
Even with his health issues, DontDrinkBeer is still on top of his beer geek meme game:
(Yes, I am guilty of looking to see who toasts my Untappd check-in.)
At Home Beer Scene Update
My scare about Covid messing up my beer palate may have just been, in fact, a scare. Things seem to be returning to normal now - I still only want to try new IPAs, and Mosaic is still King of the Hops, and Lagers are serviceable but still boring.
Hey, I would like to thank you for the read and for sticking around. Go see Indiana Jones if you haven’t, and have a great week with your beers and we will talk about it next week, yeah?

Peace ✌️ Beer 🍻 & Metal 🤘
It might be hard for you to get your hands on since it’s a Boston based brewery, but Jack’s Abby makes amazing hop forward lagers. Should you ever find one it’s a must drink.
Mikey, maybe you Lager game in the CV isn’t that good, might have to send you some LAgers ( see what I did there 😉) cheers and glad your back to tasting the alks !
