A Three Day Weekend of Beer & Backyards
Yo. Thanks for being here with me.
If you are in the States and don’t have a service industry job, you just might have a three day weekend going on right now.
So let my favorite type of drinking rage on: Backyard Beers!
Of course, Pints & Panels has your pairing guide:
I wonder if a rocket pop would actually make a Berliner Weisse enjoyable? Only one way to find out, I suppose.
Label Buy Of The Week
Well done 4Hands Brewing, getting a colab going with a movie studio (and Narrow Gauge Beer for this one).
Side Note: I was going to pull this from the newsletter when I realized that that one douchebag at 4Hands (“JD” formerly at Boulevard Brewing) might have something to do with this. Then I thought I was being small by doing that, so I left it in.
Anyway, it’s a rad label. Look for it if you’re in the Kansas City area or whatever.

David Nilsen wrote a piece for Pellicle Mag, searching for the beer style in no-man’s-land: The American Porter.
Beer Twitter thread Of The Week goes to Em Sauter asking what is your “time travel beer” - a beer that takes you back to a different beer era. Sadly, Pliny is becoming that - it’s a great Palate Reset Beer too.
Speaking of Russian River, there is a new RR beer in cans! - “Zumo Wrestling”:
You can order online if you are in the right place. ALSO, DDH Pliny in cans will be available online later this week.
Go ahead and try different beer & BBcue corn pairings this weekend and let me know how it goes, I will be doing the same.
Thank you for the read! Have a great week with your beers.
