The exploding cans of Burley Oak Brewery
I gotta say, @BeerAcademic has been doing some fine work on places with exploding can problems. This thread has a ton of examples:
Wow, that is one exciting beer! The danger and tension one must feel on a bumpy drive home from Maryland’s, Burley Oak Brewing, with a four-pack of Miami Vice JREAM sitting next to you.
You probably feel like Keanu really, which is cool. Just imagine Burley Oak cans strapped to Keanu right now:
Beer Walk Envy
I definitely would be into this beer-run, walk. Probably a bad idea to do it drunk though. *trip* *splash* *glug glug*
How’s Your On-Site Consuming Going?
Everywhere is a little different as to how beer places are dealing with the virus, state and county restrictions, city restrictions, whatever. I thought you might be interested in seeing how one of my main beer hangouts, Tioga Sequoia, is dealing with it, I think they are doing a great job, btw:
There is a lot of extra work and stress our beer spots are having to deal with these days. A big cheers to all taprooms, beer gardens, beer bars, and bottle shops for doing their best to keep employees and customers as safe as possible.
I was down there on Friday, thinking I might have a beer somewhere for the first time in seven months, but I went at 4:00 and forgot about the 5:00 start time. At least I was able to pick up some beer:
The Ultimate Podcaster 6-Pack
Inspired by last week’s International Podcast Day, PorchDrinking.com’s Michelle Thomas (aka Hoppy Libations), put together an article based around the ultimate six-pack, if that sixer was inspired by my podcast, The Perfect Pour.
So nice to see a culture we’ve been developing around a show for years finally getting some publicity. It was a fun read for me that almost made me cry. Thank you, Michelle. You can read it here.
Speaking Of…
Santa Rosa Perfect Pour Show Rep, Benj Clark, is also the curator for the Charles M. Schulz Museum in San Rosa. Peanuts turned 70 this week:
As you probably know, Santa Rosa also happens to be the hometown of Russian River Brewing. So now you have a little something else to check out while doing your Russian River pilgrimage and you know a good ol’ fellow beer geek is running things.
COVID has the museum temporarily closed, but they still have online events happening and hopefully will be open by the time the next Pliny The Younger release happens.
Have A Great Week!
I leave you with this wonderful quote from Clementine Paddleford, via @MacCocktail:
